Meet Our Founder/CEO

Ella L. Clark, CPCC, CSC

President and CEO, The Clark Group, LLC

Ella L. Clark is a distinguished entrepreneur, certified career coach, author, and a renowned public speaker, with resounding success in leadership, personal growth, and career management. 


She earned a B.S. in Business Finance and Marketing from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and an A.S. in Management Technology from Chattanooga State Technical School. She was also honored with an Executive Leadership Certificate from Vanderbilt University, Owen Graduate School of Management, Nashville. 


Other outstanding nobilities are Maxwell Certified Personality and Behavioral Analysis (DISC) consultant, a business coach from CoachU, an executive coach from the Sherpa Leadership Summit, and a career coach from the Professional Resume Writers and Career Coaches Association. 


She is also a graduate of the Bill Holmberg 2015 Arts Leadership Institute. She is a certified Maxwell Leadership Team Member with access to John Maxwell leadership and professional development content and resources.

She began a fruitful career in service sometime in 1971 as an Operator, elevated to Customer Service Representative at AT&T, and advanced to management at TVA in 1987. And later at Tennessee Valley Authority, where she excellently executed her corporate leadership role despite being challenged with enormous business responsibility.


With over 40 years of productive career knowledge as a coach, facilitator, and management consultant: she laid a foundation for corporate leadership. Being a visionary entrepreneur, the launch of her company, The Clark Group, LLC, in 2014 was inevitable. So, after retiring from public service in 2014, she started this business journey designed to advocate for youth, add value and help emerging leaders achieve their highest potential.


 Born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi, now residing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ella speaks passionately about her proven process of inspiring, equipping, and empowering clients to build on their strengths and minimize weaknesses.


 As a civic-minded fellow, Ella co-founded The Jazz Exchange Organization, Inc., Knoxville. She served on African American Advisory Committee for the Hunter Museum of Art as a Leadership Coordinator of over 60 leaders at the Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church and board member for Bach Choir. 


As expected, her wealth of career knowledge and leadership experience is now available in her books, which she said will help her audience to navigate a successful future.
